Yes, that is right, the Keenpath blog is now available to be read on a Kindle. Click here to check out the details and subscribe through Amazon.
When I first read the announcement on TechCrunch that Kindle publishing is now available to all blogs I knew it would be something I would certainly be interested in doing with Keenpath. When I saw Kindle subscribers have to pay to subscribe via the Kindle it bummed me out a bit, because I publish this blog to be ready freely in multiple ways, however, why not offer another avenue, just in case.
To quote MG Siegler at TechCrunch:
And exactly how much Amazon will charge for each blog isn’t totally clear, other than Amazon says it will “define the price based on what we deem is a fair value for customers.” Most blogs currently go for $1.99 a month. Unfortunately, even if you want to, you can’t give your blog away for free on the device. Amazon has that WhisperNet to maintain, after all.
So while there is a chance the subscribe price may drop, I am not sure at this point as I don’t have any control over what Amazon charges for the subscription. What I can tell you for sure, is that as long as the service is fair and useful I will continue to publish this blog to Kindle. Hope its enjoyable.
